Since the formation as a brass quintet has all the Instruments of the brass family HARMONIC BRASS is ideal for teaching trumpet-,trombone-,French horn- and tuba players.
Therefore the Artists created a unique concept for their workshops and master classes, well booked by Schools, Colleges and of course Universities worldwide.
If you want to inspire young and coming musicians first of all you´ll have to show that you know what you´re talking about by doing a short performance or even a full concert in advance of the Workshop. HARMONIC BRASS performs music from different ages and in different styles. The audience will hear music by baroque composer Johann Sebastian Bach as well as works by modern composers such as Karl Jenkins up to pop music by for example Michael Jackson. They also write their own compositions in various styles.
The program will be presented with a humorous and exciting stage performance. Since HARMONIC BRASS is playing all the music memorized they can do a lot of different actions on stage. In between the music French horn player Andreas Binder will do humorous announcements to further entertain the audience.
The actual Workshop starts with splitting the participants in groups for specific Instrumental training for each Instrument such as warm-ups, technical routines, embouchure, sound quality and musical interpretation.
After this first session the participants will be playing different music together under supervision of HARMONIC BRASS.
Of course HARMONIC BRASS is very flexible and can customize the musical program for each workshop or master class individually.
Ensemble-coaching, Individual-coaching, rehearsal strategies as well as audition training can be part of the Workshop.
Since HARMONIC BRASS is a full time professional chamber music group who organizes everything, from concert booking to CD- and Video recordings, teaching the business side of their work to the future professionals is also part of their workshop concept.
